Qualification for Undergraduate Students:

❖  ❖  Good physical and mental health: No infectious or contagious diseases and no physical or mental disorders that could interfere with study.

❖   Applicants should be under 30 by September 1st, 2024.

❖   Applicants should hold a high school diploma by September 1st, 2024.

❖  Applicants should be competent in performing scientific research and maintain a good academic grade level. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above. NPU accepts international standardized test such as SAT/ AC/ A-Level /AP/IB / IGCSE / WAEC / GED. Applicants may provide other certificates as proof for academic performance.

❖  Nationality:
The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen with a valid passport. Specific standards available on official website.

❖  Language:
Applicants should have Chinese or English language proficiency that meets the requirement.

Medium	Requirement
Chinese	HSK Level 5 (180 or above)
English	IELTS Academic test overall 6.0 or above (no less than 5.5 in each element). TOEFL 80 or above (My best scores, IBT home edition, Essentials, I code C317 are accepted). . Duolingo English Test (115 or above) Cambridge International Advanced level English course A. Cambridge Main Suite Examinations (FCE>169 or CAE>180 or CPE)

 Note: NPU provide a Fast Track program for applicants who are not up to standard in the Chinese language. Students who finish 1 year of Chinese Foundation program study and pass the test can be given priority of admission.

                                                  Qualification for Master and Doctoral Degree Application

●  Good physical and mental health No infectious or contagious diseases and no physical or mental disorders that could interfere with study.

●    Applicants for master’s program should be under 30 by September 1st, 2024. Applicants for
doctoral program should be under 35 by September 1st, 2024.

●   Academic Requirement As of September 1st, 2024 applicants for master’s program must hold a bachelor’s degree, and for applicants for doctoral program must hold a master’s degree

●   Learning Ability: Applicants
should have good learning ability and
academic performance. The requirement
for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above. For CSC
Scholarship applicants the requirement for previous academic grade level is an average
score of 80% and above. Applicants may provide other evidence of academic
ability such as the GRE and GMAT scores.

●   Language Requirement: Applicants should have Chinese or English
language proficiency that meets the requirement.

Medium	Requirement
Chinese	HSK Level 5 (200 or above)
English	The English requirements for CSC Scholarship Applicants: IELTS Academic test overall 6.5 or above (no less than 5.5 in each element). TOEFL 85 or above Duolingo English Test (125 or above )
	The English requirements for other Applicants: IELTS Academic test overall 6.0 or above (no less than 5.5 in each element). TOEFL 80 or above Duolingo English Test (115 or above )
